The evening honored Astros owner Jim Crane and wife Whitney with a standing ovation and the Ben Taub Humanitarian Award, presented for their commitment to improving the health and well-being of the community as witnessed through their individual philanthropic work and through the Houston Astros Foundation, the initiative of which has been cemented by the Cranes. At Baylor Law School, he finished first in his class, served as editor-in-chief of the Baylor Law Review, and passed the Texas State Bar Exam 15 days before graduating from law school. Founding partner John Eddie Williams, Jr. is a passionate, highly experienced legal expert and upstanding community member. As John Travolta's model daughter Ella joins him . His father later became the secretary-treasurer of the Longshoremen's Union, representing more than 15,000 members in an area from North Carolina to Brownsville, Texas.
